On the shape of Meissner solutions to the Ginzburg-Landau system

主讲人介绍:项杏飞,同济大学数学科学学院副教授,博导。2012年博士毕业于华东师范大学,主要研究方向为向量场的估计及其应用、带有旋度算子方程组的研究以及Ginzburg-Landau方程的研究,在Arch. Ration. Mech. Anal.、 Math. Ann.、SIAM J. Math. Anal.等国际主流数学杂志发表论文10余篇。


内容介绍:In this talk, we will consider the location of the nucleation of instability of the Meissner solutions when the applied magnetic field is increased in the transition between the Meissner state and the vortex state. For superconductors with small penetration depth, our results show that the location is different in the case of the finite and infinite Ginzburg-Landau parameter. We also show that the solutions decay exponentially in the normal direction away from the boundary. This is a joint work with professor Xingbin Pan at CUHK-Shenzhen.
